Can't stop, won't stop. Here are the songs on my sister's 2017 birthday CD:
1) Cake By the Ocean: DNCE
2) Fancy: Iggy Azalea
3) Don't Rock the Boat: Skeewiff--one of the "electronic swing" songs my husband introduced me to. I love the old timey sample in this one
4) Can't Stop the Feeling: Justin Timberlake
5) Can't Feel My Face: The Weeknd
6) Where Is My Mind: Maxence Cyrin--a piano solo version of the Pixies song. I just tracked down the sheet music at musicnotes.com to give it a try myself.
7) After All: Cher & Peter Cetera
8) Top of the World: the Carpenters--came across this song in Dark Shadows, a Tim Burton movie with Johnny Depp that I'd somehow missed seeing till this fall. It didn't get good reviews, but I loved it
9) The Gambler: Kenny Rogers
10) I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man: Prince
11) Center Stage: Capital Cities
12) Houdini: Foster the People
13) Lone Digger: Caravan Palace
14) Hair Up: Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani, & Ron Funches
15) Heathens: twenty one pilots
16) Mia & Sebastian's Theme: Justin Hurwitz--from the movie La La Land, which deserves all the hype it's getting. I got the sheet music for this one too. It's beautiful and makes me feel like crying
17) No Diggity: Chet Faker--a mellow, slowed down version of the 90s song
18) Jelly Man Kelly: James Taylor--a kids song from a Sesame Street CD I bought at my awesome library. It seems vaguely familiar from many years ago
19) Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae): Silento
20) Closer: The Chainsmokers
21) NO: Meghan Trainor--heard over the store sound system at Marshalls as I was looking for dealz
